The Story

Hi, I'm Hailey.

I started hosting in 2014, before anyone was calling it short-term rental management. It was just a way to share my home with people passing through Toronto, and to fund the next trip. Twelve years and 48 countries later, I still notice every detail that makes a stay memorable. The coffee setup that actually works. The neighbourhood guide written by someone who lives there. The host who responds in ten minutes instead of ten hours.

Before founding Towanda Stays, I spent six years at Shopify across experiential, brand, and product marketing. That background shapes how I think about properties as experiences, about guests as guests rather than bookings, and about the small details that drive five-star reviews.

Today, I manage properties in Toronto's most walkable neighbourhoods and in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico, one of the most beautiful cities in the world. I'm based in Leslieville, Toronto, with my Canadian-Mexican family. The same warmth and attention I bring to my own home is what every guest and owner can expect from Towanda Stays.

Nothing makes me happier than a guest who wants to come back, or an owner who tells me their property has never performed better.
